Premier Zoran Zaev, along with Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani, Defense and Foreign Ministers Radmila Sekerinska and Nikola Dimitrov respectively, had a working lunch Friday with the German Ambassador to Macedonia Thomas Gerberich, the government said in a press release.

The officials shared opinions about the visit of Macedonia's delegation to Berlin and PM Zaev's meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who voiced her country's support of Macedonia's efforts for  joining the European Union, NATO and economic prosperity.

Macedonia and its government should remain courageous and keep working on reforms and further advancing of the neighborly relations for the benefit of its citizens, youth and economic development, Gerberich said at the meeting.

PM Zaev extended gratitude to Germany over its support of Macedonia's aspirations to join the EU, NATO,  build a democratic society and foster economic development.

'We have been working on establishing the rule of law, creating stable political and business climate. We are committed to implementing the reforms and building good relations with all countries, including our neighbors,' Zaev said.

The officials agreed that this year Macedonia was offered a historic opportunity to make substantial progress in turning its strategic goals into reality and urged all political stakeholders to bear their part of the responsibility and contribute to that effect for the benefit of the citizens, the press release reads.
