Macedonian National Theatre to perform at festivals in Slovakia and Belarus

The Macedonian National Theater (MNT) featuring the play "Private Confessions" directed by Nina Nikolic, written by Ingmar Bergman and adapted by Tamara Barackov will perform at the two prestigious international theater festivals in Slovakia and Belarus.


MNT will perform the play on Sunday at the Central European Theatre Festival in Kosice, Slovakia, which is held during first week of September whereat independent theatre companies from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and other countries meet in Kosice for this important annual cultural event.
The International Theatre Festival in Brest, Belarus will gather 28 theater companies from 14 countries: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Moldova, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Finland. The festival is held September 8-17 and the Macedonian National Theatre is to perform the play on September 12. The 8-day festival program combines the whole spectrum of dramatic art: classic drama, modern experimental drama, performances of the puppet theatres, various street performances, dance theatres, etc, MNT said in a press release.

The cast of the play including Amernis Nokshiqi-Jovanovska, Nina Dean, Petre Arsovski, Oliver Mitkovski, Darja Rizova, Katina Ivanova, Blagoj Veselinov and Damjan Cvetanovski will also travel to Serbia to perform the play at the theater in Subotica on September 15.
