Estonia’s Nordica announces summer flights to Romania, Macedonia

The state owned Estonian airline Nordic Aviation Group operating under the Nordica brand announced on September 26th that it is adding summertime flights between Tallinn and Constanta, Romania, and Ohrid, Macedonia to its 2018 schedule, informs LETA/BNS.

Direct flights to Constanta will take place from June 16 through Sept. 29. The new service will kick off with once-weekly flights on Saturdays with a second flight on Wednesdays to be added from June 27. The duration of the flight is two hours and 30 minutes and ticket prices start from 89.9 euros, Nordica said.

Once-weekly seasonal flights to the Macedonian resort town Ohrid will be operated between June 1 and Sept. 14. The duration of the flight is three hours and ticket prices start from 99.9 euros.

Sven Kukemelk, business development manager at Nordica, said that the airline wishes to offer its customers alternative destinations beyond the big centers.

"Our aim is to search out different, exciting holiday destinations that could offer the joy of discovery to people from Estonia and where the price level offers an opportunity for a reasonably priced summer holiday in warm weather. While many people have been to Paris and Rome, Romania and Macedonia with their fantastic nature and culture are altogether worth visiting," Kukemelk said, adding that the airline also kept in mind the possibility to visit multiple countries during one trip when choosing the new destinations.

Together with six summer destinations, Nordica now flies directly to 20 cities from Tallinn.
