Macedonian U-21 coach Milevski announced squad for European Championship


Macedonia’s U-21 football team coach Blagoja Milevski announced the team he will take to the European Championship in Poland. Qualifying for the championship is the biggest success in Macedonian national football and Milevski said that the will rely on the tried and tested line-up which won the qualifiers.

Igor Aleksovski and Damjan Siskovski will be available on goal, and Gjoko Zajkov, Darko Velkovski, Visar Musliu, Mevlan Murati, Egzon Bejtulai and Besir Demiri are in the defensive line. For the midfield, Milevski will have Boban Nikolov, Enis Bardi, David Babunski and Daniel Avramovski. Marjan Radeski, Viktor Angelov, Nikola Gjorgjiev, Filip Pivkovski and Kire Markoski are the offensive players which will travel to Poland. Additionally, Milevski announced the players from the 1996/9 generation, who will prepare for the next qualifiers, and said that some of them may also be called to join the U-21 team in Poland.

Macedonia faces Portugal, Spain and Serbia in the Group B. Matches begin on June 16th and the championship finals are scheduled on June 30th.
